For these formal occasions they will dress in a very narrow range of clothing that practically no one else wears. Haven't you ever noticed that no one ever dresses like the Queen? Not even other elderly people?

So much this. I usually like Kate's style and her coats. And the queen is the queen. But all together with the pastels and the covered buttons and the thick, double seamed material that looks home-sewn (custom, haha) it's too much. It's like the British version of the unreal, fabled African royalty, like in Coming to America. These things become caricatures of themselves. [/quote]
