I agree with this. I'm in my early 30s and don't know a single woman around my age dating men in their 50s.  There are plenty of men available younger than that.  Dating someone 50 plus would be undesirable because you're likely dealing with his kids from first marriage, or reproducing with a man in his 50s.  I think this idea of women going after men 20 plus years older is from an age when women were dependent on men for income.  I suspect many of the men posting this are from older generations. I'm in my early 40s and none of my single friends want old guys, especially with kids and ex-wives, unless they make $$$$$$  (like $500+ K / year) and then they'd still have to deal with the alimony for the ex wife, failure to launch young adult kids who want $ for house downpayment etc. Etc.
