When I started keto, I used a teaspoon of MCT oil with some coconut milk in my coffee and blended it to make a kind of latte. It really helped with the transition. I also needed to increase salt in the first week because I got lightheaded. Both of those things helped and I didn't have other side effects except keto breath for a couple of weeks about a month in. I've been following keto for about 18 months. It's been the best thing I have ever done for my health. I've lost almost 70 lb and now maintaining that loss easily. Have lots of energy and mental clarity. I know the diet doesn't work for everyone, but hope you can get past the first days to see if it works well for you.
Any diet that makes you feel lightheaded because of lack of a food can't be good.
Most diets lead to eating less food. You actually don’t have to starve yourself on keto. It’s a misconception.
You eat tons of fat on keto... which is excellent for you if done right. I have been on keto since September - I've lost all the weight I set out to lose and then some.. and kept it off. I drink buttered coffee in the am... It keeps me full until I cook up some eggs. There is so much research out there on how bad low fat high carb diets are for you. Google it.
You need to continue googling. This is false.
PP, cite your "research" on high carb (plant based, whole food carbs, not processed white flour) being bad for you. Because all the healthiest and longest living populations on the planet eat mostly carbs - and low animal protein and low animal fat.
