Civilized people aren’t abusive. Civilized people aren’t emotionally manipulative at every turn. Civilized people don’t expose their children to people, even people they share dna with, who will hurt or abuse them, even if it’s not sexual abuse (which  app said is the only reasonable excuse for cutting grandparents off).[/quote]

It must be nice living in your bubble. When you join the rest of us in the real world, you’ll learn that’s simply not true. Especially when you consider emotional abuse. CPS is overworked and underfunded. They do well to handle the worst cases. Emotional abuse is swept under the rug, because they need to take care of the kids who are in physical danger first. Also, if you do ever come over to the real world, look up some stats on how often sexual abuse is successfully prosecuted. It’s often unreported, and when it is reported, it can be extremely difficult to prove. [/quote]
