If PP is looking for walkable amenities then the area around the Potomac Avenue is the closest. The amenities around Benning/East Cap leave a lot to be desired.[/quote]

H Street Corridor might be doable too.  Benning Road intersects with East Capitol not too far from the school, so public transportation to and from school may be an option.  RFK Stadium area is good also - closer to Metro, but not as walkable.  Both would be less than 10 min drive to the school, going against the bulk of traffic in the morning and evening.  [/quote]
