Brutal has no place in a marriage, even if the love is gone, and the fact that OP was so anxious to get this word in the title of the post  that she put it in the wrong place is telling.

I didn't win, I very much lost. I am soon to be 34, seriously compromised my career to follow him around on FIVE moves for his career. It will take me years to resurrect my career and I will likely not get to have a family. [/quote]
Why would you say that? Fertility is an individual thing and your age alone is not enough reason to assume you won't get to have a family. Don't drag your feet getting divorced.[/quote]
