Title 1 is a Federal designation when over 50% of the school population gets free or reduced school lunches. I just checked the title 1 list and Parkland listed is there: https://www.tcli.ed.gov/CBSWebApp/servlet/TCLIStateServlet
That’s not how Title I schools work, and the link doesn’t function. MCPS receives funding for a certain number of Title I schools each year and the funds are allocated from highest percentage. I teach at a non-Title I school that is 63% FARMs. These are the Title I schools in MCPS: http://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/departments/dtecps/title1/schools.aspx Parkland is 50% MVMS is 66.8% Neelsville is 59.8% White Oak is 60% Loiederman is 58% Argyle is 54% None of these schools receive Title I funds.
