First of all, I could not believe Trump offered this pathway to citizenship. It is what Obama SHOULD have done. It is compassionate. I did not think he had it in him with all his hard lines. At all. Shocker. This path is a gift! He is not going to punish children for the sins of the parents. Thank God. But he is asking for compromise. This is politics, it is what you do. Something for something. The Dems can not compromise because if they let Trump be a hero then they will lose all of their new voters as the illegals become citizens. They have to find fault, even if it hurts these DACA kids. It is so clear after last night and the Dems reaction. The DACA kids are nothing but political pawns for the Dems. The Dems don't care about them and their futures as citizens, they only see them as votes. The cynical hypocrisy of the left was exposed beautifully last night. What jerks. I
Schumer offered to pay for the wall, in exchange for DACA, just a couple weeks ago. Did you forget? There's no way that Trump is going to get the Rs on board with this -- even though it's what a lot of them want. So it's not the right time for Dems to negotiate this or discuss it. First, the Rs need to decide what they want. The ball is in their court.
