This does not make sense. Are you saying that only pool with enough kids for a full swim team should be open? There are lots of families who have a pool membership and do not want to be on the swim team.

Pools without strong membership often can't keep up the maintenance. Often pools without swim teams and other teams to encourage people to join have low membership. I don't know the membership of the pools near to this school. Their standing just doesn't ring out "neighborhood chock full of kids".[/quote]

Commonwealth (the pool in the last division, is struggling to stay afloat financially).  What you are missing is that Kings Park west has two other pools, Lakeview and Kings Ridge. Lakeview’s team is in a higher division.

You must have grown up in NOVA to be focused on NVSL pool rankings! I get it...I asked the same question when I moved here. But probably for the opposite reason..H and I are both shitty swimmers and wantwd our kids to swim on a non-competitive team.[/quote]
