Elementary-aged children are, in fact, capable of determining if they are too hot or too cold. On days when they question whether it's worth wearing a coat I make them go outside and check the weather and determine that for themselves. I have one kid who runs very hot and another who runs cool. They know their own bodies and comfort level. [/quote]
