Agree completely with your review!  The costumes are to die for - Midge looks absolutely gorgeous in those dresses and coats.  Best fashion era, IMO.  And the big, beautiful apartments - love.  But it is too much of that slapstick-type banter that GG was famous for.  It gets old reeeeeal fast.

I was mostly impressed with Rachel Brosnahan, having only seen her in House of Cards before.  Her character on that show was *completely* different - very meek and cowed by men.  I truly couldn't believe it was the same actress playing Midge.  Fabulous job.  I think she's the best thing about the show.  The parents overdo it.  [/quote]
