As a teacher I wouldn't want anything except sincere (therefore infrequent) expressions of appreciation, like a little card or photo or letter. Something personal, that didn't cost much. A verbal thank you for something specific I did during the year is quite enough! As well as constructive suggestions on how something could have worked out better. The rest seems like bribes, honestly. However, you never know what teacher you are going to get. I knew one who pounced on all the gift cards, and threw away the rest, even the children's hand-written notes... in front of them. [/quote]
