I then  found a job in MD and since I was employed as a teacher and had done my 6 credits, my certification was renewed. However, I was paid as a full time substitute, since DCPS had not officially released me. Finally in December, after the certification specialist had personally made a visit to DCPS headquarters, I was hired as a full time employee. 
She seems to do whatever she wants and does not follow DCPS rules or regulations. Over the years, she has hired and fired a lot of excellent teachers for reasons other than competence or student achievement.
