When will central office finally do something about tukeva?
No, Central office won't do anything about Tukeva.
At least the teacher quit on her own and did not get fired like dozens of others before her throughout the years.
It truly baffles me though. How can central office be ok about losing a wonderful teacher in dcps due to CHEC and Tukeva’s madness? Is this woman ever going to retire?
One teacher!!! U don't have a clue, teacher at EOTP and especially at CHEC have already left, many of them at not just EOTP at other DCPS so called "great" schools too. Just wait until after the holidays - see who doesn't come back.
Yes, many teachers quit but this teacher in particular was being hailed as some kind of AP visionary and was already well liked by Tukeva and CO. I wonder what happened.

She puts a lot of stress on teachers which leads to high teacher turnover. A lot of what she asks of teachers is unreasonable busy work. I heard from a teacher friend of mine that Tukeva even told them a year or so ago that 75% of kids need to get As and Bs or teacher evaluation will be docked. She is great at sucking up to the not so bright top admin people at Central so they think she is a rock star. I would never send my kid to CHEC. She hires good teachers but then drives them away with her micromanaging and dictatorial style.

No real reason except a PP wrote that teachers struggle with students with very limited English. Does that mean that this educational campus gets a number of brand new immigrants?
