No.  And as a feminist I take issue with some of the things said in the bible, particularly re: the role of women.  I take the bible as the word of God- run through the lense of men, like a game of telephone.  Sometimes not getting it exactly right.  So I don't mind him not exactly quoting scripture.  Joel is very close and in touch with God, and has brought so many people to Christ, and he is truly doing the Lord's work.  He gets a lot of misinterpretation in the media but those of us who are spiritually plugged in can truly tell he is the real deal and truly walking in Christ.
