Northam is ex-military, and that makes Rs salivate, especially when their own party is such a horror show. Northam is not one of theirs. And the fact that he voted for Bush (also a horror show) more than ten years ago and admitted it should tell you something about his learning curve and his integrity. I don't think Virginia is every going to have a governor who's as liberal as I am. But I think we can have a strongly principled one with experience handling practical matters, and that's not Perriello.[/quote]
