This. Your friend is in an abusive relationship, and she may not have seen it, until now.  Give her the number of the National Domestic Violence Hotline and suggest she call them.  1-800-799-SAFE  They have a few articles about this on their website, thehotline.org

I don't think we have enough information yet for this conclusion.  Her after-the-fact insistence that he wanted her to get pregnant is not enough.  People often look at facts in a certain light in retrospect.  That's not enough.  What if she said after the fact that he didn't want her to get pregnant?[/quote]
