They don't deep clean regularly. We have 2 kids and have cleaning people twice a week, and deep cleanings 4 times a year.
what do they do during the deep cleanings?
When you ask them to/ and pay extra for them to.
PP said what, not when. In my experience deep cleanings involve moving furniture to get to spots that don't normally get cleaned, cleaning blinds, cabinets, oven, fridge, and detailing rather than just cleaning in the bathroom. My last house cleaner charged an extra $80 or so to add a couple of those things to any one cleaning, which I thought was a bit ridiculous (seriously, an extra $80 to clean the oven). My new house cleaner has a schedule for the house that means each of those tasks gets taken care of every couple of months (and the oven/fridge is every visit). You just have to talk to whoever you hire and make sure you're on the same page.
