I'm 31, almost 32, 2 kids, house and career and I look better than I did in my 20s. I just laugh at the people who post stuff like "can I ever find happiness at 32," "how to be hot past 30?" If you aren't finally settling into yourself and really hitting your stride in your 30s or somehow think you were a better version of yourself in your early 20s, you're doing something wrong. I am thoroughly enjoying my 30s.
Easy for you to say when you are married with kids and a career.
But even if you aren't, it's ludicrous to think you have passed the he of a)ever getting these things or b) finding happiness without them. This is what I have an issue with, the idea if everything you want isn't in place by 30 you're done. If you want kids and a career, keep working toward them and enjoy where you are in the meantime! It's still SO YOUNG in the grand scheme of things.
Yes but society and people in general don't think like that. When you hit 30, it is like you are expected to be married, have kids, a fantastic career and when you don't, you are made to feel like there is something wrong with you. Look at people's reactions on here at times when they hear of a single and childless 32 year old woman.
This goes both ways. I certainly got my fair share of judgment for having my kids at 24 and 28. At least as much if not more than a childless woman at 33-35 gets. I just did what was best for me, and it worked out fine. That's another great part of your 30s- you realize if your life is working for you, what everyone else thinks is just noise.
