There's nothing wrong with a mom wanting to be there for the fun parts of her kids' childhoods, like Santa, the Tooth Fairy, teaching how to ride a bike, etc. I think MIL should have consulted the OP. I doubt the PP skips out on the fun parts in favor of her kids' grandparents getting to do them. In this case, the MIL lucked into a situation. Not a huge deal in the grand scheme of things, but I'd be annoyed. That said, OP took the risk when she accepted free babysitting.[/quote]
