Handwriting different is a real red flag. This kind of behavior really pisses me off. 
Even if this truly happened, why does the waitress deserve $7,500? Can I post every time I am discriminated against as an Asian, even in my highly educated and professional work setting? Or by random strangers? Every time I am called something? Oooooh, I claim emotional distress and PTSD. Of course discrimination offends me, but I move on. I do not have people set up fundraising on my behalf.   [/quote]

The fact that the handwriting is different does not make it a scam. This happened to a server in Fredericksburg a few months ago (except I believe that racist didn't like Latinos) and the person who wrote it on the seat was the companion of the person who paid.
