Trump is desperate to extricate himself from this quagmire, but I don’t think even his demented, narcissistic self is this desperate. The US is not giving Iran 300 billion dollars of American money. Yeah, Iran can have their own 30 billion confiscated dollars, but where is the 300 billion coming from? And no, the US is not pulling out of the UAE, Kuwait, Jordan, Qatar, Iraq, and Bahrain. No way. And where are the terms for Israel to stop bombing and annexing Lebanon to become the greater northern Israel. This agreement doesn’t sound right and there’s nothing in it for the USA. [/quote]

Obama didn’t “give” Iran money (he unfroze some of the Iranian deposits in U.S.-controlled institutions and permitted them to retrieve it), but the Republicans have lived and breathed on the lie of “pallets of cash sent to Iran” for over a decade now.[/quote]

You are clearly trying to refute points critical of this administration’s planned transfer of funds to Iran, and clearly (yet futilely) attempting to use language intended to differentiate this admin.’s plan from THE FALSE CLAIMS of what occurred under Obama.

Cool, so we agree …

1. The Obama admin. “gave” Iran nothing …

2. The Obama admin. allowed Iran to retrieve some amount of THEIR OWN DEPOSITS that had been frozen by the U.S. (likely in violation of int’l law)

3. Whatever the amount was under #2 above, all indications are that the current Trump admin. will be allowing Iran to retrieve substantially more of THEIR OWN DEPOSITS; and that the current Trump admin. will ALSO be transferring an amount of OUR U.S. FUNDS to Iran, an amount of which will dwarf whatever the amount was in #2 above.

Bad time to be a Republican if “owning the libs” is a priority …[/quote]
