Proposing a framework doesn’t mean DOJ thinks a Special Master is likely or appropriate. The court specifically asked the parties to provide proposals in the event she grants the request for a special master. Even if DOJ believes she would be dead wrong to appoint one, they would be idiots to skip providing a proposal and thus let Trump call all the shots if one were appointed. [/quote]
