You know what else Trump did? He took the attention off the content of the DNC emails and the attention squarely on the source of the hack. He won't take a minute of attention from Biden or Obama this evening, but there was a lot less talk about pissed off Berniebros and a lot more talk about Trump and Putin playing kissy face. Maybe that benefits Trump, but I don't see how.

The content of the DNC hack has been covered and DWS ended up being a casualty. Berniebros may come back into the spotlight depending on what transpires this evening.

But Trump managed to get the focus on him - almost totally for several hours - and in the process he reminded those not converted to his candidacy about the 30000 emails that were deleted, the DNC's bias and given the reaction of the Clinton campaign to this whole thing he has them worried about what may be forthcoming.

Trump got the upper hand because he told them to release her PRIVATE emails. What are the national security implications in releasing private deleted emails about her yoga lessons and plans to be a grandmother - unless there were emails improperly deleted?

Now if Obama or Biden bring up Trump's comments from this morning, the discussion tomorrow will be back to Trump and I am sure he will capitalize on it.

About the only downside for Trump is that given he got a decent bounce based on some polls is it wise to say something controversial at this juncture?[/quote]
