Hillary's love is not about her either, it is about:
1) Pro-Globalization: we are citizens of the world, that means (relatively) open borders and (relatively) open economy)
2) Diversity-gay-black-muslim come on board
3) Spiritual but non-religious-ism
The Bernie people are not on board with Hillary because they like 2 and 3 about Hillary but not 1. And they like 2 of Trump but not the rest of his agenda.
It comes down to what issues you feel most strongly about.
I have a good life and globalization has benefited me so I don't feel bad about it; but if your skills are such that your job can be outsourced to China, then I can see why you will feel differently.
I feel strongly about the SCOTUS appointmnets and thus will vote accordingly.

But Trump managed to get the focus on him - almost totally for several hours - and in the process he reminded those not converted to his candidacy about the 30000 emails that were deleted, the DNC's bias and given the reaction of the Clinton campaign to this whole thing he has them worried about what may be forthcoming.
Trump got the upper hand because he told them to release her PRIVATE emails. What are the national security implications in releasing private deleted emails about her yoga lessons and plans to be a grandmother - unless there were emails improperly deleted?

He did? That's hilarious
yes, he did.

Go back to the beginning of this thread. This topic has been discussed ad nauseam.
Compare it to Obama’s statement of “visiting 57 states.”
The discussion begins at 12:17 today. Page 3 of the discussion.

The DNC convention stopped being discussed. And all that Trump said was that Russia or any other country should release those PRIVATE emails that were deleted.
So what are the national security implications of Hillary's private communications being revealed ......... unless the emails deleted went beyond purely private communications.
I don't support Trump but the guy is nothing short of a genius in shifting media attention to himself.
You know what else Trump did? He took the attention off the content of the DNC emails and the attention squarely on the source of the hack. He won't take a minute of attention from Biden or Obama this evening, but there was a lot less talk about pissed off Berniebros and a lot more talk about Trump and Putin playing kissy face. Maybe that benefits Trump, but I don't see how.
The content of the DNC hack has been covered and DWS ended up being a casualty. Berniebros may come back into the spotlight depending on what transpires this evening.

Now if Obama or Biden bring up Trump's comments from this morning, the discussion tomorrow will be back to Trump and I am sure he will capitalize on it.
About the only downside for Trump is that given he got a decent bounce based on some polls is it wise to say something controversial at this juncture?

Change that to HRC's dishonesty is compulsive and pathological and you would be accurate.
Face it we have two candidates who both lie - Hillary does it intentionally and Trump, for the most part, does it because he has no filter between his mouth and his brain.
You give him too much credit. He is also plain dumb when it comes to political matters. I think a POTUS needs a filter, don't you? Isn't that why Biden kind of gets made fun of.. because he also sort of shoots his mouth off without thinking.
I agree with most of what you say. The issue is why he appeals so much to millions of Americans. And if you think it is racism, you are just plain wrong though I am sure that there are some who are racists. I say this because I know people who are voting for Trump and they are not racist by any stretch of the imagination. They are just disgusted with Hillary Clinton and the establishment and feel that something must be done to shake things up and they know that Hillary sure as hell will not do it.
A couple of them actually voted for Obama.
Until there is an an attempt to understand why these people find Trump appealing without attributing it to pat answers like uninformed voters and bigots, you and others will continue to be frustrated by his popularity.
But don't you think voting for someone who is not competent for the position simply for the purpose of change is dangerous? Some of his supporters are hoping that his advisers and other seasoned Repubs will reign him in, but as a POTUS, what he says on national TV and how he says it matters.
Again, I agree with you that having an uninformed person as president is unwise. I also think that having an individual like Hillary who is well informed but has terrible judgement and is dishonest to boot is also very troublesome.
I really don't know what the answer is because IMO we have two very flawed candidates. FYI, I am a Bernie supporter who has voted for Democrats forever and a day but I will not vote for Hillary.
If Trump becomes president, it will be because we presented the country with an unacceptable alternative to Trump. It is not because of racism or uninformed voters or any such thing although I am sure that Hillary supporters will blame it on those factors and on the liberals who refused to vote for her.
Umm, you mean if liberals refuse to vote for her, I shouldn't blame her loss on liberals who refuse to vote for her![]()
You can blame me and others like me as much as you wish. I will blame those who insisted on supporting a seriously flawed candidate who 70% of the country thinks is dishonest and untrustworthy.

Assange and Snowden are both hiding out, though. Snowden was taken in by....russia. Hmmm
The majority of Americans think that Snowden did the right thing. I certainly feel that way. An act of singular courage by Snowden.
Daniel Ellsberg disclosed the Pentagon Papers relating to the Vietnam war - he was tried for it and was finally acquitted by the Supreme Court. Another courageous person.
Without transparency, we are in jeopardy.
