Yes, I worry about it a lot. My rational mind feels like God wouldn't do that to us meaning how could he actually make us be on fire forever. That would be worse then what any human has done here on earth if you actually think about it. I know he is a loving God. But I still have an irrational fear of going to hell. It's something I need to get past if I ever want to go to heaven. I need to trust that God wouldn't hurt us like that. [/quote]

I haven't read through this thread and forgive me if this has been presented but what does this mean to you? "The lake of fire is the second death. 15 Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire."

There are so many references to eternal life and also to death as the alternative...so if hell is a place of death how can it be eternal burning punishment?[/quote]
