SKR, the reason that I tell you to appeal is that what they had in mind for my DD was to be in the slow class and bring up the scores while also being the class babysitter. Of course, this is not what I had in mind for my DD. I appealed and won. I think that many qualified DCs are put in this position. The Principal told me he "hated" all these smart kids and that they did nothing for the school, and there were too many of them anyway. He told me what he liked was children with problems because the State funds those. Maybe he was just yanking my chain, but we left and went to the center school after that. GL
Same DC now a junior at TJ. with WISC score 125.
awesome. My son is also a junior a TJ. (that's besides the point ofc) Yes, I am appealing. Yes, u are right. She and another girl are the quiet ones who just do their job and require no guidance or teaching or looking after. In fact these two girls are placed next to kids who need help (which I am all for!) BUT not at the expense of my kid not getting her fair share of challenge! I am going to give this my best shot. Coz if this doesnt come through, we have to relocate and that puts us at a very difficult position financially. skr
Why would you have to relocate?
