lol so some dumb back at you. What do you consider star power? I’m sure you know every girl on the Midwest 2029 that’s loaded with star power. The 2027 Florida team was chock full of star power.
It’s super easy: look at the teams/regions that matter, and see how many elite players there are on each roster. Look, I get it, you have some weird attachment to AS and it just has to be more prestigious, but it’s simply not true. Kudos to your DD for playing in AS, that is a great accomplishment. And AA being better doesn’t diminish her accomplishment at all.
I have no weird attachment to a AS, the problem I have is you keep using the word elite until these girls are selected by top 10 schools or do something in college It’s a little early to call them elite. There are excellent girls on American select and All American I would dial back the elite when grouping all the girls at AA were elite.
Girls’ Highlight All-Tournament Team (2026) Ava Findora, M, Downingtown West (Pa.), Philadelphia — Virginia Keira McHugh, M, Notre Dame de Namur (Pa.), Philadelphia — Boston College Kylee Mellott, G, Avon Grove (Pa.), Philadelphia — Johns Hopkins Cayden Reese, A, Glenelg (Md.), Baltimore — Maryland Ella Davis, G, Archbishop Spalding (Md.), Baltimore — Virginia (MVP) Kit Laake, D, McDonogh (Md.), Baltimore — Maryland Emma McCarthy, M, Paul VI (N.J.), New Jersey — North Carolina Rylee Rath, M, Pleasant Valley (Pa.), New Jersey — Northwestern Bailey Redford, G, Salem (Va.) Washington D.C. — North Carolina Kenzie Rassas, M, Georgetown Visitation (D.C.), Washington D.C. — Notre Dame Ava Obloj, M, West Islip (N.Y.), Long Island — Florida Cece Powell, A, Marcellus (N.Y.), Upstate — North Carolina Jane Belsito, M, Moses Brown (R.I.), New England — Cincinnati Kylie Waters, A, Milton (Ga.), South — Clemson This list elite enough for you? Or maybe we could look at the other years, where every one of those girls got invites to BIC and/or UA150, play on elite teams, and receive elite rankings by companies like IL. Just because nobody knows who your kid is doesn’t mean that it’s the same for the girls at AA. Every college coach in the country knows who they are already, even at the 2029 level.
