Rhetorically he won, in that he had an answer to every question and he answered smoothly and without stumbles. But it’s interesting that the debate didn’t move the needle more with regular voters, even undecided ones. In focus groups a lot of them commented he seemed too slick, too much the practiced politician. So how are we measuring his performance? Rhetorical smoothness or actually changing voter behavior? These are two different things. I agree he won the first category. [/quote]
