It’s garbage, it doesn’t help with college.[b] It’s parents nostalgia because that’s all there was.[/b] No one likes riding the bus unless they’re getting playing time and it’s not fun if your friend doesn’t get to play. It is mostly a waste of time. Let it go, let your kid do better things with their talent and time. And if they have nothing better to do, then go ahead and strive for that Gatorade award. [/quote]

We always tell my kids not to peak in HS.  Lol  For some, this is the defining moment of their life which they will bring up ad nauseum as adults.

By Freshmen year in college, that's over.  It's which school they are attending and the things they do there.  Nobody gives two sh*ts about HS anymore after graduation.  [/quote]
