Yes, probably. Mentally healthy people don't shoot 30 people or attack day care workers and masturbate in front of children. Recognizing that people are having mental health issues doesn't mean they should be excused for their crimes. Mental health issues this severe require a swift and severe response.[/quote]

Why do folks (generally on the left) shout that mental illness isn't to blame for mass school shooters ("it's just evil!"), but if it's a person who literally whipped out his you know what in front of a bunch of daycare kids after assaulting their teachers, it's preferred to say it's mental illness?[/quote]
