FCV has a proven track record of development and recruitment.

FCV was successful in ECNL. FCV is successful in DA.

Second year in ECNL and Loudoun doesn't have a single team in a single age group better than 7th place in their division.

What has Loudoun accomplished for ECNL to deny FCV being reinstated?[/quote]

FCV will be denied ECNL because there is no interest in the club below U13. They cannot even field certain age groups anymore like U9. The FCV younger ages used to be competitive. That has ended and nobody is coming to DA tryouts.

When FCV started in ECNL they built the teams from what Terry Foley coached. He recruited other players.

Then FCV sought out "partnerships" with clubs in order to have a pipeline of players they could ID. The first club was SYA. FCV's teams ran independent of SYA. The relationship broke down because SYA was losing top players.

Then FCV latched onto Ashburn and South County. They took the kids they wanted, South County broke off the arrangement and FCV formerly merged with Ashburn. There are still two distinct sides of FCV though. FCV DA, which is still the for profit side of the club and in several ways is still independent of FCV Ashburn, renamed FCV United. FCV was a singular focused girls only club while in ECNL and has expanded to having a full boys program as well as a pre travel rec program.

FCV United runs the rec and NPL side of the club and is also the non-profit side.

The closest local club model to FCV is actually BRYC. BRYC is not considered a large club, does not have a large pre ECNL program and ECNL is not going to kick them out because they mostly deliver. Loudoun, on the other hand has the largest player pool in the state and can't get one ECNL team above 7th place in their division. [/quote]
