FCV has a proven track record of development and recruitment.

FCV was successful in ECNL. FCV is successful in DA.

On what grounds would ECNL deny FCV from reinstatement?

There’s no development. They left ECNL on bad terms. It would kill Loudoun. That’s why.

There’s no development. They left ECNL on bad terms. It would kill Loudoun. That’s why.

Second year in ECNL and Loudoun doesn't have a single team in a single age group better than 7th place in their division.

What has Loudoun accomplished for ECNL to deny FCV being reinstated?

FCV will be denied ECNL because there is no interest in the club below U13. They cannot even field certain age groups anymore like U9. The FCV younger ages used to be competitive. That has ended and nobody is coming to DA tryouts.

The writing is on the wall that they are a failed club. Everyone in youth soccer in the area knows this except you.

FCV never had teams below U13 when they were in ECNL. Why do you think they have a reputation for recruiting?

You must be the same person who thinks this is Loudoun's first year of ECNL. Mr. Misinformed.

When FCV started in ECNL they built the teams from what Terry Foley coached. He recruited other players.

Then FCV sought out "partnerships" with clubs in order to have a pipeline of players they could ID. The first club was SYA. FCV's teams ran independent of SYA. The relationship broke down because SYA was losing top players.

Then FCV latched onto Ashburn and South County. They took the kids they wanted, South County broke off the arrangement and FCV formerly merged with Ashburn. There are still two distinct sides of FCV though. FCV DA, which is still the for profit side of the club and in several ways is still independent of FCV Ashburn, renamed FCV United. FCV was a singular focused girls only club while in ECNL and has expanded to having a full boys program as well as a pre travel rec program.

FCV United runs the rec and NPL side of the club and is also the non-profit side.

The closest local club model to FCV is actually BRYC. BRYC is not considered a large club, does not have a large pre ECNL program and ECNL is not going to kick them out because they mostly deliver. Loudoun, on the other hand has the largest player pool in the state and can't get one ECNL team above 7th place in their division.

And so you are selling the story that Loudoun, always super competitive at U9-U12, kept their players as the aged up. These great players are now from years ago are on the ECNL teams and somehow the club can't get one above 7th place in the division. Is that your story?

What I'm saying is that on the girls side between ECNL and CCL from U13-U19 Loudoun has 1 team with a winning record across both leagues. The only Loudoun A or B team with a winning record is their U19 team.

ONE WINNING TEAM!!!

WITH THE LARGEST PLAYER POOL IN THE STATE!!! ONE!

So how do you explain what happened? Why is Loudoun so bad U13-U19? Is it coaching? Girl's failed to develop? I am curious how you reconcile this big mystery to yourself since they have the largest player pool in VA and their U9-U12 teams are always #1?

Mr. FCV Historians story conveniently ends before Loudoun was awarded ECNL. Let's all party like it's 2017!

This thread - and board - just hammers home the point that we need a County Cup. Forget State Cup. County Cup. Call it Loudoun or Loudoun or Lodoun or L'Doun Cup. No outsiders, just Loudoun Soccer, FCV, Barca, Sterling, Leesburg FC and even ODFC can bring their 1 team. The real action would be on the sidelines!

While all of that is true, Loudon stands to profit when GDA goes away because won’t get back into ECNL. That door is sealed.
