I understand your frustration with this poster (and I share it), but don't fall into her trap. Historically blacks and Jews were united in their struggle for civil rights. Does that mean that every black person and every Jewish person always supported one another? No, of course not. There have often been conflicts between these communities. But, the Jewish role in the civil rights struggle cannot be overlooked and deserves appreciation and respect. Divide and conquer is one of the most used and most successful strategies of all time. There are many who would love nothing more than to see rifts between Jews and blacks. At a time when both groups face increasing threats, it is more important than ever to not allow such a strategy to succeed.

If Ward 8 is going to change in the ways that Trayon White wants it to change, it will require involvement of all sorts of people: white, Jewish, Muslim, and of course black. Don't fall into the trap of retreating to your corner and drawing lines between groups.

First you engaged in whataboutisim  (a classic tactic uses by BOTH SIDES when they don't want to address an actual issue)

Trayon White doesn't want Ward 8 to change

Thankfully, gentrification is finally coming and its going to do more good for that ward than White or Barry before him could ever do

Yes less crime, cleaner streets, better and more shopping options are all good things
