No one's sweater pills that much - it's the texture of the sweater.
Alright, I stand corrected. The matching coats are cringe tho.
I’m assuming a staffer purchased them for this trip. They’re ugly. It’s perfect climate for a Canada Goose jacket. Why not get those?
I think it’s pretty clear someone made an affirmative decision to cosplay military so they had to get olive drab coats and wear them with a dirt tan sweater. It’s clearly intentional — the only question is whether the goal was to kiss up to the military (we’re just like you!) or to intimidate the Greenlanders (like those dictators who always wear military uniforms to show how tough they are). Why Usha is playing along with this asinine sh$t is really an interesting question. I mean, clearly she’s all in on the con at this point, but she’s also smart enough to know how utterly stupid it is. Remember that old Suri Cruise paradox blog? Someone should start one for Usha. “Dear Gentle Reader, Today Dear Hubby and I left on our working vacation to Greenland…..”
This is the most interesting question of this era. Why are so many seemingly intelligent people going along with all of this? We can’t know, we can only speculate. I personally think it is a combination of hubris, sunken cost fallacy, and a drive to be at the top. These people think they have this thing in the bag. They won the election despite Trump being a demented old fool, and they are going all the way on destroying all of the institutions and relationships that defined America. They want to create a new order that they control, and they think controlling it will be great (for them). They can’t see how it could fall apart. I can’t either, the opposition is so ineffective. It’s baffling to the rest of us because the old order was working fabulously for them. JD Vance’s grift worked- he was a best selling author and a senator. Usha probably had the freedom to pursue whatever she wanted, career or otherwise. Greed and thirst for power know no bounds, I guess.
