Just remember Trump is a symptom of the decline and not its cause. All empires come to an end, and that's a good thing. After a period of adjustment, non-imperial America will be much better for Americans than what we have now. Maybe not so great for all the hanger-ons that wanted a free-ride and such though. There's a lot of countries that have been here and their people are most certainly better off. That is a myth you're telling yourself. It may not be horrible, but there's no way we'll be better off unless it cripples the billionaires and they all move to China. But, I have a feeling we're stuck with Thiel and he is desperate to create enough havoc so he can finally live underground in NZ which he fantasizes about because he doesn't care about the human race (his words).
