Yeah it is a no win for the little girl. I think she is now 5 or almost 5.

I was watching a documentary of a woman who kidnapped her kids from Australia and kept them in Columbia where she was originally from. The father immediately fought it but it was in 2019 and then covid happened. When it all finally got to court the court ruled that yes, it was an illegal act (under The Hague Convention) but since the children had now been settled in Columbia with their mother for a few years and in school, he wasn’t going to order them returned to their father in Australia. Same kind of thing where it was the length of time..and determined by what was best for the kids versus the wrong action of the parent. In that case, the father ended up moving to Columbia to at least be in their lives.[/quote]
