It’s horrible. I hope she is sent to her real family soon and they are given sufficient restitution to cover some serious therapy for the poor kid.

Yeah it is a no win for the little girl. I think she is now 5 or almost 5.

I was watching a documentary of a woman who kidnapped her kids from Australia and kept them in Columbia where she was originally from. The father immediately fought it but it was in 2019 and then covid happened. When it all finally got to court the court ruled that yes, it was an illegal act (under The Hague Convention) but since the children had now been settled in Columbia with their mother for a few years and in school, he wasn’t going to order them returned to their father in Australia. Same kind of thing where it was the length of time..and determined by what was best for the kids versus the wrong action of the parent. In that case, the father ended up moving to Columbia to at least be in their lives.

I don’t think either of you really understand what Protestant means. If you’re Christian, you’re basically classified as either Catholic, Orthodox or Protestant.

I think first poster is thinking WASP. Second poster is correct that nondenominational evangelicals, as they’re Christian and aren’t orthodox or catholic, fall into the Protestant bucket, but they have major differences in theology than Episcopalians, Presbyterians, Methodists, Lutherans, etc.

These people need to be in jail, and their bio kids removed permanently. Anyone who would illegally abduct a child should not have access to children.

This. He illegally used his position in the military to steal this baby. It’s criminal that she is still with this horrible couple (who wrap themselves in a farce that it’s about “Christian” love). I’m a Christian and there is nothing Christian about kidnapping a baby who is wanted and loved by their family).

I also think the lawyer who helped with this should be hit with an ethics charge. And I see the judge retired. He probably retired because he knew the heat was coming over his horrible and unethical handling of this.
