Do you feel the same way about Italian seasoning? Chinese 5-spice? Taco seasoning? Herbe de Provence? All of these are combinations of spices or herbs that are a shortcut to recreate a general flavor profile, generally tailored for "American" palates and often not really representative of the actual mix of spices/herbs used to make any particular dish.
