Not everything has to be an affront.

I feel the same way about all those mixes. Taco seasoning is the worst offender of the bunch.

I don't mind tarragon, even though it tastes licorice-y to me. I guess just not as much as anise/fennel.

I don’t love dill or cilantro. Too much turmeric ruins dishes. I do not really HATE any spices, though.

I always say cumin smells like stinky shoes, but I can totally see armpit as well! I still cook with it, just go light on the cumin when called for. DH hates dill (which I love) and my mother hated nutmeg. I guess we all have our things...

Dill is super nasty. I hate when it's hidden inside a salad.

Curry is a gravy. There are Indian, Thai, Japanese, etc. Curry powder is a bunch of spices (pinch here, pinch there, etc. of 6-8 spices) custom mixed from our spice box (dabba). For some who only make curry once in a while, curry powder is more economical rather than purchasing all the spices individually that will only be used once in a blue moon. Has nothing to do with racism. You can buy pre-made spice mixes in an Indian grocery store. We use them too. It's called convenience, not a bastardized cultural appropriation racist shitshow.

You all have been raised eating bland food. There is no spice from around the world that I have not liked.

Cumin. I abhor it. I can taste it even in the smallest amounts and it makes me gag. I hate it so so much. People will say, “oh I don’t like it either, I just used a teeny tiny bit, you can’t even taste it” and I can ALWAYS taste it. And the smell is atrocious.

Y'all are all picky. I don't have a problem with any of these spices.
