[/quote] Curry is a gravy. There are Indian, Thai, Japanese, etc. Curry powder is a bunch of spices (pinch here, pinch there, etc. of 6-8 spices) custom mixed from our spice box (dabba). For some who only make curry once in a while, curry powder is more economical rather than purchasing all the spices individually that will only be used once in a blue moon. Has nothing to do with racism. You can buy pre-made spice mixes in an Indian grocery store. We use them too. It's called convenience, not a bastardized cultural appropriation racist shitshow.
