It was natural gas.

There is no other reason why the suspect would have been shooting off a flare gun (which shoots flaming flares) inside his own house.

If you re-watch the video, there is a “secondary.”

A “secondary” means a second explosion initiated by the first explosion.  Something else blew up after the perp set off the gas with his flare gun.

A can of gasoline?  A propane cylinder?  Some paint thinner or other household chemical??

Who knows.  The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and firearms (and really really big fires) will probably help with the investigation and issue a report.[/quote]
