The people who don't understand are SAHMs who have no idea how hard it is to work AND be the primary parent. They have a cushy existence compared to most WOHMs.[/quote]

Untrue/ [b]I was working like a dog.[/b] All day at work and until the kids went to bed. He could afford me to stay at home. I was working two jobs and he was working one at work. That is what people are talking about. [b]I was commuting 1.5 hours each way[/b] because of his insistence his commute be 15 min. Many working women are doing first and second shifts while the man enjoys a second income but do not do household or childcare duties. Yes, then marriage absolutely sucks for the woman and is a terrible deal.[/quote]

Because there are not that many jobs for my work and most are in DC proper. 22 miles out is 1.5 hours in rush hour traffic.

I am divorced now. It is better. At least I can get a little time off from working 2 jobs while he worked one. He would not compromise on location. Our entire marriage was like that on every decision. In my situation, marriage was a bad deal/ I have friends in the same situation. Mid 40s.[/quote]
