Why would the Republicans give him anything prestigious?  He only has value as long as he is a Dem holding other Dems up, and forcing the other Dems to negotiate.   He loses all of that the second he switches to Republican.  [/quote]

He has value because he is giving them the Senate Majority, power over the legislative book once more, and all the judicial appointees they want to hold up.

As long as he stays with them, they retain that power until they can flip the Senate/House in 2022. [/quote]
