So if UVA is a marginally better law school, and UVA law admissions is considered easier coming out of UVA than Duke, and if UVA is much cheaper as an in state student, then this favors UVA. As for the poster observing that the average Duke applicant to law school has a higher LSAT score than the average UVA applicant, that may be true -- but the OP's kid wouldn't be an average UVA applicant.
