Why bashing on Olympiacos/Cougars, they are trying to put a good product together and grow. No one is saying they are "elite" but they have done well within their level of competition and it's good that they'll be in NCSL next year. People are considering other options because VIVA/ABGC have once again shown that they are unorganized and incapable of running a soccer program. Those deciding to stay don't really understand the current soccer landscape in our area and that VIVA/ABGC are a sinking ship and have been on that road for many years. Drive an extra 15 minutes in any direction and you'll give your kids a much better soccer experience.
Why are you on this website? It isn’t about cougars/olympiacos. So please tell me why you are on this site when it is talking about villarreal/viva?
I'm not here b/c of olympiacos, I'm addressing VIVA/ABGC's lack of ability to be competent. In prior pages, someone said they were with VIVA and moving to Olympiacos because of this mess and someone including yourself decided to bash them. This is very related to VIVA/ABGC.
Please read your previous quotes because you are clearly trying to spread cougars/olympiacos. Please tell me why any would want to go to the number 17 team in the state (cougars/olympiacos) because I would rather have my kid go to the number 2 team in the state(viva/villarreal).
I'm not the poster you are responding to, but going after Olympiacos like you are is only making you seem petty, defensive, and insecure. Olympiacos practices at Pine Ridge, in Annandale, so they are clearly an option to consider for anyone currently at VIVA. As for your statement that you'd rather have your kid go to the team with the 2nd most gotsoccer points in the state than the team with the 17th most gotsoccer points in the state - that may be one of the dumbest things I've ever read on this site. I'd rather send my kid to the team with better coaching. Bo gets decent results playing direct soccer with man-children. Always has, always will. Doesn't matter what logo you put on the jersey, that's not going to change. If you think I'm wrong about that, please post video.
You are so funny bo has put more kids into college than any coach in the area. If olympiacos is so good why do they only talk about their 05 age group on instagram and your OLYMPIACOS WEBSITE. I will tell you why because Harry karageorge and his rebels have their kids play on the 05 team. They play in the lowest tournaments and lose. They really don’t care about any other team other than the 05’s.
My kid doesn't play for Olympiacos and I have no idea who Harry is. Bo's good at marketing himself, I'll give him that. He's been around for a long time, won a few state cups. "Put more kids in college than any coach in the area"? That I highly doubt. Anyway, I did find some video. Please note that I'm not posting this so people can come on and take cheap shots at the kids. The coach is fair game though IMO. For example, I love the way he has them taking their goal kicks. Yep, you sure can see that La Liga influence all over this team, LOL! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6WQRM9lN_fE
I see NO La Liga influence in this video. They do not connect a lot of passes and all is the same basic US kickball. Taking goal kicks has nothing to do with modern soccer. Wake up dear parent.
They don’t even scan or look to receive and turn with their first touch. They take a touch (usually quite heavy) then turn clunkily then look up to try to play forward. Look at their very first pass out to the wing immediately after kickoff. The lane is there to easily get that pass out there on the ground, instead it’s practically a punt, the winger struggles to bring it down, gets closed down while waiting for that ball to come down and almost gives up a throw in. This tells you how the team plays in a nutshell, and they’re ranked #2? Lol
