1) Deregulation and corporate tax reform to get the economy growing at 3% and delivering more and better jobs for everyone in the private sector (like, what, 100 million people?)

2) Getting rid of the crazy "Dear Colleague" regulations concerning rape in college campuses that stole the presumption of innocence and essential safeguards from over a million students...because they were male.

3) New laws favoring generic drugs to lower drug prices

You can also argue than a stronger military and the "new NAFTA" are going to help many people.

I am the PP you quoted.  I haven't taken part in any of the previous responses to your post.

When I see a response like yours, it is difficult to believe it is genuine and not the work of a troll.  It is difficult to take it or you seriously when it would indicate you lack any common sense or basic abilities to comprehend what you read.  It is difficult to understand why you would think and respond the way you do when it flies in the face of everything that is known about harassment and assault cases against women. Our justice system already has many protections in place for any person who is accused of a crime.

I am a wife, a mother, a sister, a daughter.  I am a friend to men AND women.  The chances that the wonderful men in my life will be falsely accused is very, very low.  On the other hand, the chances that the wonderful women in my life will have already or in the future experience harassment, assault or even rape, not to mention other negative effects of sexism that are very much present in our society, is astronomically higher.  If you are truly and honestly more concerned about the men in your life being falsely accused of a sexual crime than you are for justice for the women who actually experience sexual crimes, then I fear you are a friend to no one.

NP.  Thank goodness for DeVos’ reforms which are, on balance, reasonable.  Yes, the chances are very small that sons will be falsely accused.  But there’s a chance nonetheless.  And virtually any privileged mommy here would spare no cost or leave any stone unturned if her snowflake son convincingly maintained his innocence.  White women of privilege should also be advocates for minoriity men who are falsely accused. [/quote]

You should educate yourself on the process that goes on in many colleges these days.  Men can be accused and expelled from school for nothing.  If a man is accused they will often:

1) Not be allowed to represented by counsel
2) Not be allowed to present evidence in their own defense or call witnesses 
3) Not be allowed to question their accuser
4) Be convicted by a kangaroo student group that is entirely biased against them on the "preponderance of the evidence" standard

By the same token, you can find a devastating number of stories of women whose complaints were ignored and swept under the rug to protect the school or who were otherwise re-vicitimized by the administrators at their school.

The fact is, cases of harassment or assault should be handled by the local authorities, not colleges/universities, so that the rights of all parties can be protected.[/quote]
