D3 is the way D1 used to be 50 years ago, where sports and academics and social life were all balanced. D1 Athletics now is just a time-consuming grind. Check for yourself the difference in the composition of rosters over a four-year period. The attrition rate on D1 rosters is enormous because the kids are unhappy. D3 lacrosse rosters stay relatively intact over four years. [/quote]
