I will respect moderates when they actually pull the Republicans in a little and make them adopt a moderate position for their party platform. Moderates always expect the most from Democrats (and recently just are too invested in the culture war to think about the good parts of the Democratic Party) and absolutely nothing at all from Republicans.
Not true - moderates, like myself, want Republicans to adopt a more moderate position on women's reproductive rights for example. On the flip side, we want Democrats to adopt a more moderate position on those social policies and woke ideologies. Not asking that much from Democrats, actually asking more from Republicans.
Woke ideologies isn't a policy. There is nothing you are saying other than "I don't like that your group is a bunch of wokies." Biden, who is the president of the united states and could've been in 2024 (not likely but potentially), has a long history of racism. I guess you can call Harris woke, cause she's a Black woman but she has a career of imprisoning Black men... I really don't see why moderates complain about the "woke" part of the party, because those are progressives who make up a few house members and none of the national agenda.
The wokeness is mostly being implemented in state and local constituencies. We also see it in Congress though I don’t think anything’s been able to get through (although this will change if fringe numbers are allowed to grow). I’ll probably vote blue for the executive to stave off tyrannical authoritarianism, but I am going red everywhere else. And not because they’re the best for the job or representative of all my values (not even close), but because the alternative is that bad.
This +1000000
