It’s amazing how being a SAHM is now a social taboo. I am sure her son does have the luxury of staying home if he wanted to if he has disposable income .  Most men these days who have stay at home wives can greatly  afford it . There was a time where men with zero college or high school education would work like pack mules making minimum wage and somehow  still be the only breadwinner. It’s still doable . Most men lie to their wives about how much money they really have . They can afford a household on one income but don’t want to because of MIL’s like OP’s  [/quote]
